Con oltre 88.000 piloni dell'elettricità e la necessità di nuove infrastrutture, il Royal Institute of British Architects, il Department of Energy and Climate Change e il National Grid del Regno Unito hanno invitato architetti, designer, ingegneri e studenti a proporre nuovi modelli di piloni che, oltre a possedere caratteristiche di efficienza, avessero anche un buon impatto visivo sul paesaggio.
